Three Suspects Arrested in Rancho Cucamonga for Stealing 388 lbs. of Sage at the North Etiwanda Preserve

SUMMARY:
Deputies with the Solutions Oriented Policing (SOP) team conducted surveillance at the North Etiwanda Preserve following multiple reports of individuals stealing white sage and causing damage to the local ecosystem.
On Wednesday, September 17, 2025, at approximately 10:27 p.m., a traffic stop was conducted on a vehicle leaving the preserve. The vehicle was found to be driven by Nicolas Augustin, with passengers Jacob Antonio and Linda Nolasco. Upon furhter investigation, several large duffle bags containing freshly harvested white sage were located in the truck bed. The total weight of the sage was approximately 388 pounds. Augustin, Antonio and Nolasco were all arrested on felony charges for grand theft.
