Unusual creek activity around 11.2 Mile Zimovia Hwy. 
Unusual creek activity has been observed near the 11.2 Mile landslide area. The creek is flowing vigorously with sediment/discoloration, conditions that may indicate slope instability.
Rainfall is expected to intensify around 8:00 p.m. with rates up to 0.25 inches/hour, increasing landslide risk.
Law enforcement is making in-person contact with families near the site. All residents are asked to remain vigilant.
Be alert for signs of landslides: cracks in ground/roads, leaning trees or poles, rumbling sounds, muddy water, or shifting soil.
If you observe warning signs, do not approach and call the Wrangell Police Department at 907-874-3304. Call 911 to report emergencies.
