Large PSEG road restoration project starting. Please check near your home for signs. After an involved planning session, its finally ready
Residents, please be aware that many Borough streets will be restored this week and next week after a significant PSE&G gas improvement project. Borough representatives have been working tirelessly over the past several months to ensure our roads are restored to the highest standard possible with no cost to the taxpayer. Following extensive planning, meetings and negotiations, PSE&G will begin restoring many roads with permanent pavement and striping on several streets throughout the Borough. Milling and paving operations are scheduled to begin on or about Tuesday, September 23 and will continue through October 1/2, weather permitting. Phase 1 areas to be restored include sections of Chestnut, Lower Oakdene, Clark, Walnut, Hamilton, Lancaster, Elite, Van Rensselaer, Marion, Prospect, Linden Ct and Alan Ct. Work hours are 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., weather and field conditions permitting. Please adhere to all emergency “No Parking” signs posted, which will be deployed at least 24 hours before the work begins on each street to avoid your vehicles being towed at your expense. If you have questions, please contact PSE&G’s dedicated hotline at 1-833-661-6100. The remediation work is just getting started! More roadway paving work is planned in the near future in Phase 2. Thank you to all residents and businesses directly affected for their patience and understanding during this long involved project. Please adhere to all posted detours during active construction zones. 128
