Springfield Ave Closure for Monday 9/22 - Vermont St to Wellesley St. 
Plan Ahead: Sections of Springfield Avenue will be closed for roadwork, beginning this week. On Monday, September 22nd, Springfield Avenue will be closed from Vermont St to Wellesley St. Beginning at approximately 6:00 am, traffic will be detoured along Rutgers St and Burnett Ave. Construction is scheduled for weekdays only.
Springfield Avenue businesses will remain open. Residents can use free public parking in municipal lots at Indiana Street & Springfield Avenue, Hilton Avenue & Prospect Street, Yale Street & Springfield Avenue, and Tuscan Road & Springfield Avenue. Side streets are also available for parking.
Crossing Guards will continue to cross children on Springfield Avenue at Prospect Street, Burnet Street, and Boyden Avenue.
Roadwork is planned to continue on weekdays until September 29th. Closures will be announced daily here on Nixle.
