CAD CALLS: 857
1. Battery on an Officer (1900) Main Street and Wilson Way, Park District
Officers attempted to arrest the suspect for public intoxication. The suspect struck one of the officers, and force was used to take him into custody. ARRESTED: Atanacio Magana, 31, for battery on an officer and public intoxication.
2. Assault with a Deadly Weapon Arrest (1905) 400 Block of West Poplar Street, Civic District
The male victim, 14, was in front of his residence when the suspect attempted to lure him into her vehicle. When a female victim, 45, confronted the suspect, the suspect brandished a firearm at them and attempted to strike the female victim with her vehicle. As the suspect fled the area, she attempted to strike two male victims, 12 and 7, with her vehicle. All victims were uninjured. Officers attempted an enforcement stop of the vehicle, and the suspect failed to yield, leading officers on a pursuit. Officers were able to disable the vehicle and took the suspect into custody. ARRESTED: Apolonia Plazola, 36, for assault with a deadly weapon, attempted kidnapping, child abuse, auto theft, possession of stolen property, and traffic charges.
3. Shooting into a Dwelling (2220) 400 Block of Delhi Avenue, Seaport District
The male victim, 32, was inside a residence in the listed area when it was struck by gunfire. There were no injuries, and there is no suspect information.
4. Assault with a Deadly Weapon (2344) 400 Block of East Flora Street, Civic District
The male victim, 18, was walking in the listed area when he was shot at by two suspects. During the shooting, several residences were struck by gunfire. There were no injuries reported. SUSPECTS: Two unknown race males.
5. Battery on an Officer (0102) 6200 Block of North Pershing Avenue, Lakeview District
Officers were in the listed area when they encountered an intoxicated suspect who became combative with them and refused to obey commands. An officer used force on the suspect to take him into custody. While obtaining treatment for the suspect at an area hospital, he assaulted officers, and force was used to subdue him. ARRESTED: Joshua Ramirez-Blackwell, 30, for assault with a deadly weapon, resisting arrest, battery on an officer, and public intoxication charges.
