7th & Jackson Community Mural ribbon cutting announced
The City of Hoboken and the Hoboken Division of Cultural Affairs invite residents to a ribbon cutting ceremony for the 7th & Jackson Community Mural at 4 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 29. During the ceremony, the City will unveil the 2,000 square foot mural along the eastern fence of the 7th & Jackson Resiliency Park.
The mural, commissioned by the Hoboken Arts Advisory Committee and funded by the City’s Public Art Trust Fund integrates photos submitted by west side residents alongside historic images provided by the Hoboken Historical Museum from their online collection. The artwork was designed and produced by local business Mural Painter Inc. Youth and community members helped paint the mural under the guidance of professional artists.
