1. Battery on an Officer (1843) 700 Block of West Charter Way, Seaport District
Officers responded to the report of a person with a gun, and when the suspect saw the officers, he fled. One officer deployed his taser to take him into custody. While in the back of the patrol vehicle, the suspect began to hit his head against the interior. The officers placed the suspect in a SAFE wrap device to prevent him from injuring himself. As they put him in the SAFE wrap, he assaulted the officers. No officers were injured. ARRESTED: David Watty, 30, for battery on an officer, criminal threats, resisting arrest, and multiple warrants.
2. Person Shot (1953) Van Buren Street and Oak Street, Civic District
The male victim, 25, was in the area of the call location when he was shot by unknown suspect(s). The victim self-transported to an area hospital for a non-life-threatening injury. There is no suspect information.
3. Shooting into a Dwelling (2107) 500 Block of Martin Luther King Blvd, Seaport District
Officers responded to shots fired in the area and discovered a business had been struck by gunfire. There is no suspect information.
