Springfield Ave Closure for Tuesday 9/23 – Jacoby St. to Vermont St. 
Plan Ahead: Sections of Springfield Avenue will continue to be closed for roadwork this week. On Tuesday, September 23rd, Springfield Avenue will be closed from Jacoby St. to Vermont St. Beginning at approximately 6:00 am, westbound thru-traffic will be detoured along Elmwood Ave. to Prospect St.; eastbound thru-traffic will be detoured along Laurel Ave. to Stuyvesant Ave. (Union Twp). Construction is scheduled for weekdays only.
Springfield Avenue businesses will remain open. Residents can use free public parking in municipal lots at Indiana Street & Springfield Avenue, Hilton Avenue & Prospect Street, Yale Street & Springfield Avenue, and Tuscan Road & Springfield Avenue. Side streets are also available for parking.
On school days, Crossing Guards will continue to cross children on Springfield Avenue at Prospect Street, Burnet Street, and Boyden Avenue.
Roadwork is planned to continue on weekdays until September 29th. Closures will be announced daily here on Nixle.
