Man Escapes Vehicle after Armed Female Suspect Forces Him into the Car and Drives Off with Him Inside

SUSPECT(S): White Female Adult, Resident of Adelanto
VICTIM(S): Confidential Male
SUMMARY: On Monday, September 22, 2025, at approximately 3:00 P.M., Deputy Enciso responded to the 12000 block of Poplar Street in Hesperia when the victim, an adult male, contacted dispatch and reported a White female adult had taken his vehicle while he visited her in the city of Adelanto.
While at the suspect's residence, the suspect demanded the victim's vehicle keys and threatened to cut or beat him if he did not comply. The suspect pulled the keys from the victim's belt loop and instructed him him to get into the vehicle. She got into the driver's seat and drove southbound on U.S. Highway 395.
During the drive, she advised the victim they were going to Mexico, and he saw a large knife in her purse. The victim reported he feared for his life and exited the vehicle when it was stopped at the intersection of U.S. Highway 395 and Three Flags Road. The female is an acquaintance of the victim, and investigators are working to positively identify her.
