Two Men Arrested after Leading Deputies on a Pursuit on Dirt Bikes

DATE/TIME: Tuesday, September 23, 2025, at approximately 1:45 p.m.

INCIDENT: CVC 2800.2(A) - Felony Evading

LOCATION: City of Needles

SUSPECT(S):  Josh Perrone, 26 Years Old, Resident of Needles, CA
                         Jerr Perrone, 31 Years Old , Resident of Needles, CA

VICTIM(S): State of California


SUMMARY: On Tuesday, September 23, 2025 at approximately 1:45 p.m., deputies from the Colorado River Station / Needles Police Department attempted a traffic stop on two dirt bikes being driven through El Garces park.  Both dirt bikes failed to yield and lead deputies on a pursuit through residential streets and into the desert.  

Deputies were able to catch up to the first dirt bike near Ice Plant Rd and mile marker 574-2, where Jerr Perrone was apprehended and taken into custody without further incident.  Jerr Perrone was subsequently arrested for CVC2800.2(A) - Felony Evading and transported to the Colorado River Station jail for booking.  Perrone remains in the custody of the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department with a bail amount of $50,000.00, awaiting a court hearing.    

Deputies were able to catch up to the the second dirt bike on the south side of the railroad tracks, near Coors Island, where Josh Perrone was apprehended and taken into custody without further incident. Josh Perrone was subsequently arrested for CVC 2800.2(A) - Felony Evading and was also found to have an outstanding warrant for CVC12500(A)- Driving Without a License.  Josh Perrone was transported to the Colorado River Station jail for booking.  Perrone remains in the custody of the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department with a bail amount of $50,000.00, awaiting a court hearing.
