Flood Warning until 07:30AM Wednesday

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is ongoing.

* WHERE...A portion of southwest Missouri, including the following counties, Barry, Stone and Taney.

* WHEN...Until 730 AM CDT Wednesday.

* IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. Numerous roads remain closed due to flooding.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 728 PM CDT, The Department of Transportation reported flooding from previous heavy rain at Route J in Taney County, as well as other locations. Between 3 and 6 inches of rain have fallen. - This includes the following low water crossings... Trigger Creek at Highway J, Rockhouse Creek at Farm Road 2145 and Roark Creek at Expressway Lane. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Branson, Kimberling City, Hollister, Silver Dollar City, Merriam Woods, Reeds Spring, Rockaway Beach, Indian Point, Branson West, Shell Knob, Bull Creek, Mccord Bend, Golden, Table Rock, Emerald Beach, Kirbyville, Eagle Rock, Blue Eye, Chain-O-Lakes, Arrow Point, Coney Island, Lampe, Cape Fair, Ridgedale, Walnut Shade, Edgewater Beach, Ozark Beach, Table Rock Lake, Lake Taneycomo, Bull Shoals Lake, Table Rock State Park, Shepherd of the Hills State Park and Roaring River State Park. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood

Instructions:

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Many flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding. In hilly terrain there are hundreds of low water crossings which are potentially dangerous in heavy rain. Do not attempt to cross flooded roads. Find an alternate route.
