The National Weather Service issued a Flood watch for Wayne County until this evening.
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible. * WHERE...A portion of southeast Michigan, including the following counties, Macomb, Oakland and Wayne. * WHEN...Through this evening. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Ongoing heavy rain has produced highly localized rainfall totals ranging from 1 to 4 inches for locations upstream. Heavy rain potential will continue through the morning hours over the watch area. Additionally, renewed activity will be possible this afternoon and evening. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
