Correction to Fatal Pedestrian Collision in Redwood City 
Upon further review and additional detail, the Redwood City Police Department is issuing this correction to the press release distributed on September 22, 2025, regarding the fatal vehicle-versus-pedestrian collision at the intersection of Woodside Road and Veterans Boulevard.
In the original release, it was stated:
"According to the witness, the pedestrian entered the crosswalk with the signal, and he believed the traffic light had not changed before the collision occurred."
The corrected information is:
The witness reported that he and the pedestrian were crossing the intersection, where there was not a designated crosswalk, at the time of the collision. The witness stated that he had crossed ahead of the pedestrian and, upon turning back, saw her being struck.
All other details from the September 22, 2025, release remain accurate. This correction is being issued in the interest of transparency and accuracy as the investigation continues.
