Wilmington Police have arrested two male juveniles on gun and drug charges.
On September 23, at approximately 12:56 p.m., members of the Drug, Organized Crime, and Vice Division were in the 400 block of West 7th Street, when they observed two male subjects engaged in drug-related activity. Police made contact with two 15-year-old male juveniles, who were taken into custody without incident. The first 15-year-old male juvenile was found to be in possession of a loaded 9mm handgun. The second 15-year-old male juvenile was found to be in possession of 102.8 grams of marijuana, and drug paraphernalia.
The first 15-year-old male juvenile has been charged with the following offenses:
- Possession of a Firearm or Ammunition by a Person Prohibited – Two Counts
- Carrying a Concealed Deadly Weapon
He was arraigned in New Castle County Family Court and was committed to the New Castle County Detention Center on $7,500 cash-only bail.
The second 15-year-old male juvenile has been charged with the following offenses:
- Possession of a Controlled Substance with the Intent to Deliver
- Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
He was arraigned in New Castle County Family Court and was released on his own recognizance.
