Prowling and Stalking Investigation – Two Suspects in Custody
 
Morgan Hill, CA – On September 23, 2025, at approximately 7:30 p.m., Morgan Hill Police Officers responded to a residence on Saffron Drive regarding a reported prowling incident captured on video surveillance.
 
The victim reported that earlier that morning, at approximately 8:10 a.m., an unknown Hispanic male approached her residence and knocked on the front door. The victim believed the suspect may have used a Wi-Fi jammer, as her home surveillance cameras went offline during the incident. The suspect then attempted to access the backyard by forcibly pushing open a side gate, causing property damage. Unable to enter, the suspect walked away from the residence.
 
On September 24, 2025, at 7:59 a.m., the same victim reported she was being followed by a white Chevy sedan that had been parked outside her residence. The vehicle followed her as she drove her children to school. Concerned for her safety, she called 9-1-1. Officers responded, located the suspect vehicle, and conducted a traffic stop as it attempted to leave the area.
 
The driver, identified as Darling Rivera Fuentes, and the passenger, Oskar Ivan Molano Chavez, both Colombian nationals, were detained without incident. Chavez initially provided officers with a false identity, but it was later confirmed to be the same individual observed in the surveillance footage from the prowling incident. Fuentes and Chavez were booked into the Santa Clara County Jail on charges of criminal conspiracy, stalking, prowling, vandalism, and providing a false name.
