UPDATE:
The Oakland Police Department (OPD) investigated an incident that occurred just after 8:00 a.m. on September 26, 2025, in the 12200 block of Skyline Boulevard. OPD’s Communications Division received a report that a juvenile may have brought a firearm onto the school campus.
Officers responded immediately and worked closely with school staff to identify the individuals involved. As a precaution, the school was placed on lockdown.
Following the investigation and interviews, officers determined no firearm was located. The school lockdown has since been lifted.
No students were injured, and there is no danger to the public.
