This Saturday evening, September 27th from 6:30-11:30pm, there will be a Cruise Night along the El Camino in San Mateo. There is potential for hundreds of cars to show, repeatedly cruising up and down the El Camino from 3rd Ave. to Hillsdale Shopping Center for several hours, impacting the flow of traffic. If you are not participating in the event, please plan to take an alternate route to avoid travel delays.

All vehicles are expected to OBEY ALL TRAFFIC LAWS and SMPD will be out there to ensure safety for all pedestrians, spectators, participants, and other drivers. 

Spectators are expected to remain on sidewalks, avoid spilling into the roadways, use crosswalks, avoid littering, respect private property (be advised Borel Shopping Center is private property and they will enforce their rules of use if needed), and no public intoxication.

Participants SHALL NOT perform burnouts or doughnuts, speed, drive recklessly, allow passengers to lean out windows or stand up in beds of trucks..., drive impaired, or perform any dangerous maneuvers. Sideshows WILL NOT be tolerated.

We'd hate to ruin this event for anyone by having to take enforcement action, so let's all do our part and work together to ensure this event is a safe and orderly one.
