The Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office is advising residents and visitors to stay informed and prepare ahead of potential impacts from Potential Tropical Cyclone Nine, which is currently organizing near eastern Cuba and expected to strengthen over the next several days, according to the National Hurricane Center (NHC).
The disturbance, currently referred to as Invest 94L, is forecast to bring tropical storm conditions to portions of the central and northwestern Bahamas this weekend and may impact portions of the southeastern U.S. early next week. While the exact track and intensity remain uncertain, the system could reach hurricane strength as it approaches the U.S. coast.
