The Borough of Collingswood and Collingswood Public Schools have formed a new partnership to expand recreational opportunities for all residents by modernizing and increasing access to both indoor and outdoor facilities. Supported by the Borough’s Recreation Master Plan and a redevelopment bond authorized earlier this year, the initiative will fund upgrades to the Middle/High School athletic complex, the purchase of the former Good Shepherd School and Convent for new indoor and outdoor recreation spaces, and a shared services agreement that opens District fields, buildings, and playgrounds to the community during non-school hours. Residents are invited to the first community meeting on Monday, October 13 at 7 PM in the CMS Auditorium (also livestreamed) to review draft plans and share feedback. Additional public meeting dates will be shared in the coming days.
