There is no danger to Silverton. IN LA PLATA COUNTY: 50 pounds of highly explosive material in the garage of an abandoned house in the 13000 block of East Animas Road (County Road 250) north of Durango.Evacuations have been ordered for residents within a half-mile of the 13000 block of East Animas Road, located between Baker’s Bridge and Highway 550. Highway 550 is expected to close between around 5:00 p.m. for approximately 60 to 90 minutes.
