Springfield Ave Closure for Tuesday 9/30 – Prospect St. to Millburn Ave.
Plan Ahead: Sections of Springfield Avenue will continue to be closed for roadwork. On Tuesday, September 30th, Springfield Ave. will be closed from Prospect St. to Millburn Ave. Beginning at approximately 6:00 am, westbound thru-traffic will be detoured along Prospect St. to Valley St.; eastbound thru-traffic will be detoured along Laurel Ave. or Russell St. (Union Twp) to Burnet Ave. Traffic will be permitted to cross Springfield Ave. at Prospect St.
Tuesday, September 30th is the final day of full road closures.
Road striping is scheduled to begin Tuesday, September 30th and is expected to be completed on Wednesday, October 1st. Road striping will not require road closures, but may require shifting travel lanes or holding traffic for crossing striping crews.
Springfield Avenue businesses will remain open. Residents can use free public parking in municipal lots at Indiana Street & Springfield Avenue, Hilton Avenue & Prospect Street, Yale Street & Springfield Avenue, and Tuscan Road & Springfield Avenue. Side streets are also available for parking.
Crossing Guards will continue to cross children on Springfield Avenue at Prospect Street, Burnet Street, and Boyden Avenue.
