The DC Department of Parks and Recreation (DPR) and the DC Department of General Services (DGS) would like to inform the community of the following playground closures for resurfacing upgrades:
- The playground at Barry Farm Recreation Center (1230 Sumner Rd SE) will be closed beginning Thursday, October 2, 2025, and is estimated to be offline through early November, weather permitting.
- The playground at Volta Park Recreation Center (1555 34th Street NW) will be closed beginning Tuesday, October 7, 2025, and is estimated to be offline through late October, weather permitting.
- The playground at Benning Stoddert Recreation Center (100 Stoddert Pl SE) will be closed beginning Wednesday, October 8, 2025, and is estimated to be offline through early November, weather permitting.
