Police Seek Help Identifying Theft Suspect
Newark Public Safety Director Emanuel Miranda, Sr., requests the public’s help identifying the male suspect pictured below, who took a victim’s credit card to make online purchases on September 28, 2025.
Police responded to the incident after the victim used his credit card at approximately 10:11 a.m. at The Print Post, a commercial printer in the 200 block of Chestnut Street. The cashier gave him his receipt, but the victim noticed that he did not have his credit card.
As he waited to speak with the cashier, the suspect, captured on surveillance video, took the card from the counter and used it to spend $251.98 with Nike.com and FRG*Fanatics.com, a sports merchandise website.
Director Miranda urges anyone with information on the suspect’s identity to call the Police Division’s 24-hour Crime Stopper tip line at 1-877-NWK-TIPS (1-877-695-8477). All anonymous Crime Stopper tips are kept confidential and could result in a reward.
