Support Undergrounding the RTRP in Norco
Norco, we need YOUR help! We’re calling on our residents, neighbors, and all supporters of undergrounding transmission lines to use their platforms and their voices to bring attention to the dangers of the Riverside Transmission Reliability Project (RTRP) and demand that safety starts underground!
This project, approved by the California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC), Southern California Edison (SCE), and the City of Riverside, will run high-voltage overhead transmission lines—similar to the transmission system under investigation as the potential cause of the Eaton Fire—through the extremely fire- and wind-prone Santa Ana Riverbed, right next to one of Norco's animal-keeping neighborhoods that has previously been impacted by wildfires.
TAKE ACTION
Visit www.burythewires.org, which includes background information on RTRP, an interactive timeline of the City Council’s advocacy efforts, and a step-by-step “Take Action” page for residents to contact officials, sign up to attend the upcoming CPUC meeting, and show their support for undergrounding this project.
