TRAFFIC ADVISORY WESTERVELT AVENUE CLOSURE

Location: Westervelt Avenue from North 8th Street to North 13th Street
Reason: Curb, sidewalk, and roadway repaving

Please be advised that Westervelt Avenue will be closed today from 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM between North 8th Street and North 13th Street for essential infrastructure improvements, including curb, sidewalk, and full roadway repaving.

On-site is Hawthorne’s own Sgt. Mike Phillips, widely respected for his commitment to public safety and community service. Sgt. Phillips shared:
“Our top priority is ensuring the safety of all residents and travelers. We’ve implemented a comprehensive traffic plan to minimize disruption, maintain pedestrian access, and assist residents throughout the day. Please follow posted detours and approach the area with caution.”

Pedestrian accommodations are in place, and local access for residents will be maintained with the help of on-site personnel.
