Burn Ban Issued 10/2 for Bad River Reservation
Other burning restrictions may be in place outside of the Bad River Reservation, check Wisconsin DNR website for those restrictions. Human activities cause 98% of wildfires statewide.
Ceremonial fires are still allowed within the Reservation boundary, but maximum safety precautions must be followed, and the Chief Warden must be notified of the general location beforehand.

Burn Ban Issued 10/2 for Bad River Reservation 
BURN BAN NOTICE
As of Thursday, October 2nd, 2025:
ALL burning on the Bad River Reservation is banned due to elevated fire danger.
This restriction is in effect until further notice.
Fire weather conditions will be elevated this weekend:
- Temperatures will be much warmer this weekend, up to 22 degrees warmer than average is forecast for Saturday with high temperatures in the mid-80s.
- Very gusty winds on Saturday and Sunday, vegetation will contiue to dry out, winds are forecast to gust over 30 mph on Sunday.
- No precipitation measured in the last week.
- No substantial precipitation in the forecast for the next week.
- Green vegetation will continue to turn brown and die back as we continue into fall.
