Newark Public Safety Director Emanuel Miranda, Sr., requests the public’s help in locating Patrick Roberts, 27, of Irvington, who is wanted for questioning about a shooting that occurred on July 21, 2025.
At approximately 11:01 p.m., the shot spotter detection system picked up gunfire in the 600 block of South 10th Street. When police officers arrived, they canvassed the area and located one 9mm shell casing on Brenner Street near South 10th Street.
During the investigation, detectives from the Major Crimes Shooting Response Team obtained surveillance video that showed an individual firing a handgun at an occupied silver Toyota Camry.
