The City of Tonkawa has been made aware that some of our utility customers are receiving text messages asking them to enroll in online billing or provide account information.
These messages are NOT from the City of Tonkawa. We will never ask for account information, credit card details, or billing enrollment through text message.
WHAT SHOULD YOU DO
- Do not click any links.
- Do not share any personal or account information.
- Report suspicious texts to the City if you receive them.
We appreciate everyone who has notified us about these messages. If you have questions about the legitimacy of any communication regarding your utility account, please call the City Offices
at (580) 628-2508 during normal business hours.
If you believe you may have been the victim of a scam, please contact the Tonkawa Police Department at (580) 628-2516.
