Barricaded Suspect Arrest 
On October 3, 2025, at approximately 4:30 p.m., Simi Valley Police Department (SVPD) officers responded to a radio call in the area of Simi Village Drive regarding a report of a subject who had brandished a knife and threatened a neighbor.
Upon arrival, officers attempted to contact the suspect, who refused to surrender and barricaded himself inside his residence. SVPD activated additional resources, including the SWAT Team, Crisis Negotiation Team (CNT), K9 Unit, and Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) Team, who all responded to the scene.
After several hours of attempted negotiations, SVPD personnel entered the residence and safely took the suspect into custody.
The suspect, identified as 50-year-old Simi Valley resident Sean Im, was arrested and booked at the Ventura County Main Jail for the following charges:
