SUSPECT(S): Javier Soltero, 21 years of age, resident of Fontana

SUMMARY:
On Thursday, October 2, 2025, at 5:24 pm, deputies from the Victor Valley Station responded to a report of a burglary in the 3900 block of Harding Road in Phelan.
The reporting party called dispatch to report an unknown male was inside of her home. The victim saw the male in her front yard and approached him. The suspect, later identified as Javier Soltero, grabbed the victim’s cell phone and ran into the residence. Soltero armed himself with a BB gun that was inside of the residence and fired the BB gun multiple times in the direction of the victim and stuck her in the arm.
When deputies arrived, Soltero was still inside the residence. Deputies located the victim and transported her to safety. Soltero armed himself with a knife and refused to exit the residence. Specialized Enforcement Division responded to the scene and with their assistance, Soltero exited the residence. The victim’s family transported her to a nearby hospital.
Javier Soltero was transported to the High Desert Detention center where he was booked on several charges.
