Macomb County Department of Roads Project Update
Please be advised that westbound 26 Mile Road between Jewell Road and Van Dyke Avenue (M-53) in Shelby Township and Washington Township will be closed, and traffic will be shifted to the center lane from October 7 through October 8 for work within the right-of-way.
This lane closure is part of a permitted project involving the installation of a pedestrian bridge over the Yates Drain, improving connectivity along 26 Mile Road between Jewell and M-53.
This important safety and accessibility project is funded through a SEMCOG grant and supports our ongoing efforts to enhance walkability and connectivity in the community.
