Celebrating Leonia’s Diversity through the Arts
A MACORE Speaker Series Event
Join us at the Leonia Municipal Center on October 19th, at 3:00 PM for a celebratory afternoon featuring remarkable artists who embody Leonia’s rich diversity and commitment to equity and inclusion.
The program features presentations by visual artists Ben Fine, Mo Riza, Chie Ushio, Jiji Ryoo, and students of the NUART School, alongside live performances from vocalist Lois Bruno, singer/songwriter Jamie Leonhart, poet Elias Diakolios, and Kerry Dunn with the award-winning Leonia High School ensembles Vox Angelica (Women’s Choir) and Voix CĂ©leste (Men’s Choir).
Following the program, enjoy a reception with refreshments, explore the art on display, meet the artists, and visit the Kids’ Corner, where children can create their own works of art.
All visual art will be available for public viewing at the Leonia Municipal Center from October 8 through 31, including additional works by artists Jin-kang Park and Youngmi Chang. The exhibition is curated by Alan Terrell, Chair of Leonia’s Mayor’s Advisory Committee on the Arts (MACA).
This event is open to the public to people of all ages, including children.
