1. Weapons Arrest (0500) 9300 Block of Sundance Lane, Valley Oak District
Two adult victims were sleeping when they heard a gunshot nearby that struck their residence. Officers investigated and learned the shooting had taken place at a nearby residence. While investigating the incident, two suspects returned to the area, and the officers detained them. Officers located two firearms in a vehicle and another firearm in the house. ARRESTED: Daniel Simental, 35, and Rudy Simental, 32, for weapon violations.
2. Weapons Arrest (1330) Country Club Boulevard and Marine Avenue, Civic District
Officers stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation. During the search of the car, they found a stolen handgun. The driver was taken into custody without incident. ARRESTED: Rodney Bohannon, 22, for weapon violations and possessing stolen property.
