Deputy Tre Spearman with the McDowell County Sheriff’s Office charged 27-year-old Christopher Ryian Towery of Union Mills with felony Breaking and/or Entering a Motor Vehicle with Theft, and misdemeanor Larceny. He was given a secured bond of $10,000.
On Thursday, Oct.2, Deputy Spearman responded to the Vein Mountain Road area in reference to a prior breaking or entering of a motor vehicle.
The victim stated Lowery entered her car, removed an item and left on foot.
Video footage provided by the homeowner confirmed Towery’s identity.
