Police Seek Help Identifying Robbery Suspect

Newark Public Safety Director Emanuel Miranda, Sr., requests the public’s help in identifying the below-pictured male suspect in connection with a robbery that occurred on Monday, September 22, 2025.
 
At approximately 6 a.m., Newark Police responded to the 100 block of Walnut Street on a call of a robbery. A man walking toward Pacific Street was struck from behind by a suspect, causing the victim to lose consciousness. The suspect stole the victim’s cell phone and his green Puma book bag, containing his Bank of America debit card and other personal items.
 
Detectives investigating this incident describe the suspect as a Black male wearing a black jacket with a reflective strip over the hood, a yellow shirt with sleeves, black pants, and carrying a skateboard.
 
Director Miranda urges anyone with information regarding this suspect’s identity to call the Police Division’s 24-hour Crime Stopper tip line at 1-877-NWK-TIPS (1-877-695-8477). All anonymous Crime Stopper tips are kept confidential and could result in a reward.
