Wilmington Police arrest three men on gun charges:
Wilmington Police have arrested three men on gun charges.
On October 6, at approximately 9:44 p.m., members of the Uniformed Services Division conducted a vehicle stop in the 1900 block of North Market Street. Police made contact with the driver – 21-year-old Jeremiah Winder of Dover, 23-year-old Elijah Winder of Dover, and a 17-year-old male Juvenile of Salem, NJ. Following a brief investigation, Jeremiah Winder, Elijah Winder, and the 17-year-old male juvenile were taken into custody without incident. Police recovered two loaded 9mm handguns, and a loaded 5.56 caliber rifle.
Jeremiah Winder has been charged with the following offenses in addition to traffic violations:
- Carrying a Concealed Deadly Weapon – Two Counts
- Possession of a Large Capacity Magazine During the Commission of a Felony
Elijah Winder has been charged with the following offenses:
- Carrying a Concealed Deadly Weapon – Two Counts
- Possession of a Large Capacity Magazine During the Commission of a Felony
The 17-year-old male juvenile has been charged with the following offenses:
- Possession of a Firearm by a Person Prohibited
- Carrying a Concealed Deadly Weapon
- Providing a False Statement to a Law Enforcement Officer
