Wilmington Police arrest man on a drug charge.
On October 7, at approximately 1:20 a.m., members of the Uniformed Services Division conducted a vehicle stop in the 1100 block of Columbia Avenue. Police made contact with the driver – 28-year-old Derrick Britt. Following a brief investigation, Britt was taken into custody without incident, and police recovered 118.83 grams of heroin.
Britt has been charged with the following offense:
- Possession of a Controlled Substance with the Intent to Deliver in Tier 3 Quantity
He was arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court 20 and was committed to the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution on $100,000 cash-only bail.
