Joint Investigation Leads to Arrest 
On October 7, 2025, officers from the Janesville Police Department responded to a report of a possible child abduction in the 1500 block of Woodman Road. The reporting party informed officers that their child had left the residence with an adult male.
Through coordinated efforts, officers located both the child and the male suspect in Walworth County.
Further investigation by Janesville Police Department Detectives revealed that alleged criminal activity involving the suspect and child had occurred over several months in both Janesville and Milton, Wisconsin. Detectives from the Janesville Police Department and Milton Police Departments collaborated closely throughout the investigation, which resulted in the arrest of the suspect, identified as Daniel Munoz. The investigation remains ongoing.
