Community Information: Anonymous Phone Call to Bridge School
 
Hillsborough, CA — October 9, 2025:
 
At approximately 12:36 PM on Thursday, October 9, the Hillsborough Police received a phone call from Bridge School staff regarding a call they received from an unknown individual who made statements that could be interpreted as threatening. Out of an abundance of caution, Bridge School and North School were placed in "Secured Campus" mode at approximately 12:53 PM while Hillsborough Police officers responded to the area.
 
Officers immediately conducted thorough security checks of both campuses. After determining that there was no active threat and that the schools were safe, the "Secured Campus" status was lifted at 1:02 PM.
 
As an added precaution, officers also conducted security checks at Crocker School, West School, and South School, as well as notifying the Hillsborough School District Office to ensure district-wide awareness.
 
At no time were students in immediate danger, and school operations resumed shortly thereafter. Hillsborough Police take all safety concerns seriously and responded swiftly to ensure the safety of our students, staff, and school communities.
 
We understand that incidents like this can be unsettling. Please know the safety of your children remains our highest priority. Our officers remain actively engaged in investigating and monitoring this incident, and we are working closely with school administrators to maintain a secure learning environment.
