On October 10th, 2025, members of the Lincoln Police Department, Lincoln Fire Department, Logan County Sheriff’s Office, Logan County Paramedics Association, other first responders and Lincoln District 27 Schools will participate in a scenario based training program at the Lincoln Junior High School. Traffic may be interrupted in the 200 Block of Broadway Street, due to this training exercise.

The exercise is meant to better prepare all participants in responding to and managing a large scale incident at a school or other large public space. There will be Police, Fire and EMS activity at the Lincoln Junior High School, which is not in session that day, as well as the surrounding area. Citizens should not be alarmed by this activity. It is strictly a training scenario that will enhance our ability to appropriately respond to a major incident. The activity is planned for approximately 9:00 a.m. through 1:30 p.m.
