Please be advised that, effective immediately, Skimmer Rd. and the Jekyll Island/DNR Boat Ramp located on Jekyll Creek are temporarily closed due to flooding.
The road and boat ramp will be assessed once the water has fully cleared, and a timeline for reopening will be announced, though it is not anticipated to reopen at all on Saturday. October 11.
Please also use caution when traversing other roads due to localized flooding.
