The road work for Fort Lee Road has been completed for the day and the road is now open. Paving is scheduled for Monday at 7:00am, however if the weather forecast is accurate, the paving will be rescheduled. We will send out another message as soon as a decision is made.

In regards to the weather, a State of Emergency has been declared for New Jersey in preparation of the storm. A nor'easter storm is expected to hit the state on Sunday and continue into Monday. Major costal flooding, inland flash flooding, sustained winds of up to 60mph and rain amounts of 5 inches are all possible.  Please plan ahead for this storm and visit www.ready.nj.gov for safety tips. The Department of Public Works (DPW) has taken steps today to prepare for the storm. If you should experience flooding issues, please call Leonia Police Department at (201) 944-0800. The communications officer will dispatch the DPW, Police Department and/or Fire Department depending on the nature of the call.
