What are NIXLE Weather Alerts?
- Weather alerts are not issued by NIXLE or its parent company Everbridge.
- Weather Alerts are issued by the National Weather Service and are rebroadcast to NIXLE subscribers.
Why register your zip code?
- Weather alerts are issued by the National Weather Service and are rebroadcast through NIXLE to contacts who have a zip code registered to their profile. Registering your zip code ensures that you will receive weather alerts for your area.
Why register your email address?
- To reduce “noise” from too many SMS text messages, and prevent “SMS fatigue”, Nixle uses a program called SmartPath.
- SmartPath delivers Advisory and Community Messages to email only. Reserving Alerts for SMS text.
- Emergency Alerts will always go out via SMS, email, web, and Mobile Push channels.
