Police Seek Help Identifying Theft Suspects
Newark Public Safety Director Emanuel Miranda, Sr., requests the public’s help in identifying the below-pictured male suspects in connection with an e-bike theft that occurred on Saturday, October 4, 2025.
A victim reported that at approximately 2:30 p.m., he secured his e-bike by locking it to a railing outside of a store in the 700 block of Mayor Kenneth A. Gibson Boulevard before entering a store to shop. When the victim returned at approximately 4 p.m., the e-bike was gone.
Detectives investigating this incident describe Suspect #1 as a Black male wearing a white shirt. Suspect #2 was observed with Suspect #1 after the theft.
Director Miranda urges anyone with information regarding the identity of either suspect to call the Police Division’s 24-hour Crime Stopper tip line at 1-877-NWK-TIPS(1-877-695-8477). All anonymous Crime Stopper tips are kept confidential and could result in a reward.
