State of Emergency & Major Coastal Storm Preparation 
The State of New Jersey has declared a State of Emergency effective 10:00 PM tonight (Saturday) ahead of a major coastal storm expected Sunday through Monday.
What to Expect:

⚠️ Moderate to Major Coastal Flooding – widespread roadway flooding, beach erosion, possible dune breaches.

⚠️ Strong Winds – gusts up to 60 mph along the coast, possible power outages and tree damage.

⚠️ Heavy Rain – 1–3+ inches with poor drainage flooding.

⚠️ Dangerous Marine Conditions – 15–20 ft seas; remove boats from the water if possible.
Take Action Now:
✅ Move vehicles to higher ground – suggested Ocean Side areas: east end of Taylor Ave, around Veterans Memorial Park, or other Ocean Side street ends.(Do NOT park along Bay Avenue or flood-prone streets.)
✅ Secure outdoor furniture and decorations.
✅ Move items up from ground level.
✅ Charge devices, gas up vehicles, and run generators safely outdoors.
✅ Prepare a Go-Bag with essentials in case of evacuation.
✅ Avoid travel Sunday unless absolutely necessary.
✅ Check on neighbors, especially elderly or those needing assistance.
