The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a Hazardous Weather Outlook for our area as a coastal storm is expected to impact the region Sunday through Monday. Damaging winds are possible, and residents are encouraged to secure outdoor items. The NWS has issued a coastal flood warning from Sunday, October 12 through Monday, October 13 in the evening, please refer to their website or the FEMA app for specific details and updates.
Our DPW crews cleared our storm drains in preparation for this weather event, and all departments are monitoring the situation. If you need emergency assistance during the weather event, please call the Pelham Manor Police Desk at 914-738-1000 or 911 from a landline phone. If necessary, move your vehicle to higher elevation and put your emergency break on. As always, our Police and Fire Departments are prepared to respond.
If you lose power, notice must be given directly to ConEdison. You may report and monitor power outages through their mobile app, online, or by phone 1-800-752-6633. If you see downed electrical wires, do not go near them. Assume all downed wires are electrified. Report any downed wires to ConEdison.
