WEATHER ALERT - Potential for high winds and coastal flooding from today, 10/12 to Monday, 10/13 
The Matawan Police Department and Office of Emergency Management are currently monitoring an approaching nor’easter forecasted to affect our area. Widespread significant impacts from this strong coastal storm are likely for our area beginning today, October 12th into Monday, October 13th. The severity of impacts to our area will depend on the exact track and intensity of the storm. The greatest impacts are most likely for coastal areas; however, current forecast indicates rainfall amounts between one and three inches and potential wind gusts upward of 40-50 mph for our location
In anticipation of the forecasted high winds accompanying this storm, please remember to secure all loose outdoor items such as patio furniture and garbage cans. In the event of a power outage, please report the outage directly to JCP&L at 1-888-544-4877 or online at www.firstenergycorp.com
