Significant Costal Storm Advisory for Brigantine and Surrounding Areas 
National Weather Service has issued a Significant Costal Storm advisory for BRIGANTINE.
Overview: Widespread significant impacts from a strong coastal storm are increasingly likely for our area Sunday and Monday beginning midday tomorrow, Sunday October 12, 2025. The severity of impacts to our area will depend on the exact track/intensity of the storm. The greatest impacts include significant coastal flooding, substantial beach erosion & dune breaching, strong to damaging winds, and significant waves. Moderate to major coastal flooding with the high tides Sunday and Monday.
What: The storm is expected to bring major coastal flooding, strong winds, and severe beach erosion. Rain: 1–3" (locally up to 2–3" more). Seas: 15–20 ft, dangerous surf and rip currents. Winds: Gusts 50–60 mph possible.
When: Sunday through Monday.
Direction: Residents in flood-prone areas should move vehicles to higher ground. Expect flooding and possible lane closures on Route 30 and Route 40 during Sunday & Monday afternoon high tides. Do not drive through flooded streets or around police barricades — turn around and use alternate routes.
Residents and businesses should bring in outdoor items (including Halloween decorations) that could become projectiles.
