Traffic Stop in San Bernardino Leads to the Arrest of a Man in Possession of a Stolen Firearm and Drugs

LOCATION: N Acacia Avenue / 41st Street, San Bernardino
SUSPECT(S): Jesus Barrera-Santacruz, 21-year-old resident of San Bernardino
VICTIM(S): State of California
SUMMARY: On Sunday, October 10, 2025, at approximately 11:56 PM, Deputy N. Yates from the Central Station conducted a traffic stop in San Bernardino and contacted Jesus Barrera-Santacruz. During the stop, Barrera-Santacruz was found in possession of suspected cocaine and methamphetamine. A subsequent search of the vehicle revealed a loaded 9mm semi-automatic handgun, which was later confirmed to be stolen in connection with a burglary in San Bernardino.
Barrera-Santacruz was arrested for the following offenses: Health & Safety Code 11370.1 – Possession of a Controlled Substance while Armed with a Loaded Firearm, Penal Code 496 – Possession of Stolen Property. He was booked into the Central Detention Center without incident.
