A Nor’easter is expected to impact our area on Sunday, October 12, and Monday, October 13, bringing heavy rain and strong winds. Please take precautions now to help reduce potential hazards:

• Secure materials and decorations: Construction materials and outdoor decorations should be secured or brought inside to prevent them from becoming airborne.
• Move leaf piles: Keep leaf piles at least 10 feet from storm drains to allow proper water flow and reduce flooding.
• Relocate vehicles: Avoid parking in flood-prone areas, especially near the lakes. Move vehicles to higher ground away from trees and other hazards.
• Parking enforcement suspended: To assist with storm preparations, parking enforcement will be suspended on Sunday, October 12, and Monday, October 13.

• Report downed wires immediately by calling 1-888-LIGHTSS (1-888-544-4877) or 911.
